Impact:

AREOLA project is for Aerospace PBF-LB Operators, which targets to respond Aerospace sector's need for increasing PBF-LB Operators’ skills. Online training materials and virtual training tools (Virtual Reality – VR and Augmented Reality – AR) are developed as innovative measures to boost Vocational Educational Training (VET) systems for training in this sector.

The expected impact of the AREOLA is as follows:
>> Fostering the VR and AR technological sectors and the, application of these tools in educational systems (at VET level) in the field of AM;
>> Increasing the direct engagement with advanced manufacturing professionals, VET providers, National Qualification Agencies and companies’ representatives both at national and European levels;
>> Raising awareness of the application and use of online theoretical and practical training tools in the International Qualifications System across a network present in more than 30 European countries;
>> Updating the International Qualification Systems managed by EWF’s existing PBF-LB Operator curriculum and Blended learning qualification path;
>> Involving European stakeholders in the VET fields, namely the European Association of Institutes for Vocational Training (EVBB), the European Association for the Education of Adults (EAEA) and the European Forum for Vocational Education and Training (EfVET);
>> Strengthening direct access to alternative routes to standard training and education, especially in the field of additive manufacturing at local, national and European level.
